Laying of terrace slabs 60 cm × 60 cm to 120 cm × 120 cm on single-grain mortar bound with reaction resin
Prerequisite: The substrate must be firm and load-bearing and have a slope of at least 1.5 %. A drainage system is built on top of a bonded waterproof membrane for ensuring water drainage from the single-grain mortar. The slabs are laid with a highly flexible tile adhesive mortar. In the case of slabs, the longest edge of which is greater than 60 cm, the slabs must be at least 2 cm thick or the manufacturer’s specifications for breaking strength must be observed. 1. Make a slope with SOLOCRET-50 on the prepared and primed concrete substrate. 2. Apply a bonded waterproofing (AIV) with AQUAFIN-RS300 in two application steps and a minimum dry film thickness of 2 mm.
5. Laying the slabs with UNIFIX-S3-fast / UNIFIX-S3. The slabs are preferably laid using the buttering method. This means that the flexible mortar must only be applied to the back of the terrace slabs.
3. Apply a drainage mat, e.g. AquaDrain EK, GUTJAHR GmbH, Schlüter-TROBA or similar in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions 4. Single grain mortar made of ASODUR-SG3-superfast Production of the single grain mortar: Mixing ratio: 1 kg ASODUR-SG3-superfast : 25 kg quartz sand grain size 1.0–4.0 mm (min. layer thickness 35 mm)
Consumption: Single grain mortar: approx. 20 kg/m²/cm
6. A slab size of more than 80 cm × 80 cm and above is covered with open joints or, alternatively, closed with an elastic joint filler for the respective application. Rigid grouting must be avoided.
